Biographie
Ana Isabel dos Santos Figueiredo Pinto was born in Lisbon, on December 16th, 1978.
She holds a PhD. in International Relations from the New University of Lisbon, a Master in History of International Relations from the Higher Institute of Labour and Enterprise Sciences (ISCTE-IUL) and Degree in Political Science and International Relations from the New University of Lisbon. Her main areas of academic research are Identities in International Politics, European Union Foreign and Security Policy and Middle East Geopolitics. She collaborates regularly with various media outlets.
She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Nova University of Lisbon (Nova FCSH), Researcher and Member of the Executive Board of the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI-Nova) and Associate Researcher at the National Defense Institute (IDN).
Among other professional activities, she was Research Consultant for the United Nations Organization, in the Alliance of Civilizations Project (2008-2010), was Advisor for International Relations of the Minister of National Defense of the XVII Constitutional Government (2006-2009) and Research Assistant at the Institute for Strategic and International Studies (2001-2003).
