Belgian-born, Françoise Tulkens, who holds a doctorate in law, has been a judge at the European Court of Human Rights, a member of the United Nations Advisory Committee on Human Rights in Kosovo, a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, as well as an extraordinary professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Louvain and co-president of the Institute for the Promotion of Training on Islam.
