Hanna Wass is a researcher and lecturer in political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Helsinki. She is a member of the steering committee of the Finnish Election Study, as well as of the ECPR standing group on public opinion and voting behavior.

Hanna Wass is a researcher and lecturer in political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Helsinki. She is a member of the steering committee of the Finnish Election Study, as well as of the ECPR standing group on public opinion and voting behavior.
Her work focuses on the study of participation and representation in democratic systems.
After obtaining her PhD in political science at the University of Helsinki in 2008, dedicated to the study of the influence of generational factors on voter turnout in Finland, Hanna Wass continued her research at the University of California at Irvine, the University of Montreal, and in Gothenburg, Mannheim and Copenhagen. She was appointed Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Helsinki in 2012.
