Isabella M. Weber is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an Associate in Research at the Fairbank Center at Harvard University. She primarily focuses on inflation, China, global trade, and the history of economics.
Biographie
After studying at Freie Universität Berlin, Peking University, the New School for Social Research, and the University of Cambridge, she taught at Goldsmiths, University of London, and led the research project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (UK) titled “What drives specialization? A century of global export patterns” before joining the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is the author of the book “How China Escaped Shock Therapy: The Market Reform Debate”.
