Biographie
Sylvia Kritzinger is Professor for Methods in the Social Sciences at the University of Vienna and Deputy Director of the Vienna Centre for Electoral Research.
Her research focuses on electoral behavior, democratic representation, political participation and public opinion, with a focus on Austria, Italy and the European Union. She is one of the principal investigators of the Austrian Election Study (AUTNES).
After obtaining her PhD in political science from the University of Vienna in 2002, Sylvia Kritzinger held various academic positions at Trinity College (Dublin), the University of Krems (Austria), and the University of Podgorica (Montenegro), before being appointed professor at the University of Vienna in 2007. Since 2016, she is also the Scientific Director of the Austrian Social Science Data Archive (AUSSDA).
