Étienne Espagne has been senior Economist at AFD, France’s public development bank, since 2017, and a research associate at CERDI, a research center dedicated to the study of international development.
Étienne Espagne holds a PhD in environmental economics from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and is also a graduate of the École Mines ParisTech and the Paris School of Economics. He has published in various academic journals on topics related to climate change and energy policy.
His research focuses on the socio-economic impacts of climate change and on adaptation and mitigation strategies implemented in emerging and developing countries, particularly in Southeast Asia.
