Nathalie Loiseau is the Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parliament. From 2017 to 2019, she was minister in charge of European Affairs in the second Édouard Philippe government.
Biographie
Nathalie Loiseau is the Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the European Parliament
A diplomat, she worked for twenty-six years in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the Iraq war in 2003, she was the spokesperson for the French embassy in the United States. In 2011, she was appointed Director General of Administration at the Quai d’Orsay before becoming the following year Director of the École nationale d’administration.
From 2017 to 2019, she was minister in charge of European Affairs in the second Édouard Philippe government.
