Teresa Ribera is Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for a clean, fair, and competitive transition, and Commissioner for Competition since December 1, 2024.
She was Spain’s Minister for Ecological Transition from 2018 to 2024.
She headed the Spanish Office for Climate Change (2004-2008) and was Secretary of State for Climate Change in the Spanish government (2008-2011).
In 2013, she joined the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), becoming its director the following year.
