Florent Parmentier is a political scientist. He is Secrétaire Général of the CEVIPOF (Sciences Po, Paris). His research focuses on geopolitics, post-Soviet Eastern Europe and its relations with the European Union.
Biographie
Florent Parmentier holds a doctorate in political science. Since 2019, he has been Secrétaire Général of the CEVIPOF (Sciences Po). He is also an associate researcher at the HEC Center for Geopolitics.
Dr. Parmentier’s research focuses on international geopolitics. His interests include post-Soviet Eastern Europe (Moldova, Ukraine) and its relations with the European Union, as well as Russian and American geopolitics. He is the author of numerous books and articles on these topics, including When empire meets nationalism: power politics in the US and Russia (with Didier Chaudet and Benoît Pélopidas, Routledge, 2016) and La Moldavie à la croisée des mondes (with Josette Durrieu, Non Lieu, 2019).
