Piret Ehin is an associate professor at the Johan-Skytte Institute of Policy Studies at the University of Tartu, where she served as deputy head for research (2016-2018). She has been a member of the steering committee of the Estonian Election Study (ENES) since 2012 and the Estonian referent for the European Social Study since 2011.

She has been a member of the steering committee of the Estonian Election Study (ENES) since 2012 and the Estonian referent for the European Social Study since 2011.
Her research focuses on voting behavior, European and Estonian politics, e-voting and EU-Russia relations.
After receiving her PhD in Political Science from the University of Arizona in 2002, Piret Ehin continued her career at the University of Tartu (Faculty of Social Sciences and Education) where she was appointed Associate Professor in 2021.
