Appointed Attorney General to the Court of Cassation by decree of the President of the Republic on July 1, 2023, Mr. Rémy Heitz chairs the High Council for the Judiciary, which has jurisdiction over prosecutors. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National School for the Judiciary.

Biographie

Appointed Attorney General to the Court of Cassation by decree of the President of the Republic on July 1, 2023, Mr. Rémy Heitz chairs the High Council for the Judiciary, which has jurisdiction over prosecutors. He is also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National School for the Judiciary.

Born on October 26, 1963, in Nancy, Mr. Rémy Heitz began his career in 1989 as a deputy prosecutor at the Pontoise District Court. In September 2021, he became Attorney General at the Paris Court of Appeal, a position he held until his appointment as Attorney General at the Court of Cassation.

Mr. Rémy Heitz is a Knight of the Legion of Honor and an Officer of the National Order of Merit.
