Biographie
Selena Grimaldi is Assistant Professor in Political Science at the University of Macerata. Her research interests are related to the following topics: Studies on leadership and Presidents of the Republic in different types of government; political careers; Regional and local elections; Communication and political language. Furthermore, she is member of the Steering Committee of the ECPR Standing Group on Presidential Politics and she is the coordinator of the Standing Group “Candidate and Leader Selection” of the Italian Society of Political Science. She is a member of the editorial board of the Italian Journal of Electoral Studies (QOE-IJES) and the journal Regional Studies and Local Development. Her work has been published in several international journals. Her last books are The Informal Powers of Western European Presidents (Palgrave McMillan) and (with S. Bolgherini and A. Paparo) Local Electoral Participation in Europe (Palgrave McMillan.
