Carlo Sanna, PhD, is an adjunct professor at the University of Sassari, where he teaches History and Politics of the Mediterranean and the Middle East and History and Institutions of Asia. He received his PhD cum laude in International Studies from the University of Cagliari, with the additional title of Doctor Europaeus. He has conducted research, training, and teaching at universities and institutions in Turkey (Bilkent University in Ankara, 29 Mayıs University in Istanbul), Switzerland (University of Basel), and the Netherlands (University of The Hague), focusing mainly on comparative politics, transformations of the Turkish party system, populism, and Euro-Mediterranean relations. He has published articles and research on these topics in Italian and international scientific journals and has collaborated with research bodies and institutes such as ISPROM, CeSPI, and CREI
