Biographie
Olga Gyárfášova is a professor at Comenius University in Bratislava where until 2020 she served as director of the Institute for European Studies and International Relations. In the same university, she studied sociology and obtained her PhD in comparative political science. She has also been visiting professor at the University of Innsbruck.
Her research interests include political culture, public opinion and electoral behaviour, both at the domestic and international level. Indeed, she is involved in several prestigious international projects, for instance as the national coordinator of the European Election Studies (EES) and principal investigator of the Comparative Studies of Electoral Systems (CSES).
Dr. Gyárfášova is also in the Board of directors at the Institute for Public Affairs, an independent think-thank focusing on public policies, as well as member of the Editorial Board of the journal Sociológia (Slovak Sociological Review).
