A political scientist, Teresa Ruel is an Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon (ISCSP-ULisbon). She is member of the following reseach projects: 50 anos de Democracia em Portugal: Aspirações e Práticas Democráticas (2023-2026); POLE – Patterns of Legislative Effectiveness (2023-2025) and Cost Action COST Action Intergovernmental coordination from local to European governance (2021-2025). Her research focuses on political institutions, comparative and regional politics (Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands) and comparative research designs.
