Massimo Amato teaches at the Bocconi University of Milan. For the past fifteen years, he has devoted his research to money: history of monetary systems, history of monetary thought, reform of the monetary system.
Researcher in Economic History since 1991, he has held cycles of in-depth lessons and seminars as part of the economic history courses of DES, CLEP and CLEFIN. Massimo Amato collaborates as translator of the philosophy series of the EGEA publishing house. He Is part of the steering committee for the journal of philosophical studies, Laboratorio di Logica.
