Pierre Charbonnier is a philosopher and CNRS research fellow at the Center for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po Paris. His work focuses on the history and philosophy of social sciences, systems of thought and management of the natural environment, political and ecological crises, and the place of ecology in the democratization process.
Biographie
Pierre Charbonnier is a philosopher and CNRS research fellow at the Center for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po Paris. His work focuses on the history and philosophy of social sciences, systems of thought and management of the natural environment, political and ecological crises, and the place of ecology in the democratization process. He is the author of several books, including The Three Tribes of Political Ecology and For an Ecological Realpolitik, published in 2020. He was director and member of the editorial board of the journal Tracés.
Pierre Charbonnier studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. He has a doctorate in philosophy.
